We’ve made it easier for you to prioritize your preventative maintenance with several enhancements to Service Reminders
We’ve heard how helpful Service Reminders are to managing preventative maintenance in Fleetio. As we’ve continued to gather feedback, we found that having several overdue Service Reminders can be difficult to keep up with. This is due to the fact that you may not know which reminders need to be prioritized. As a fleet manager, the reality is that you have several vehicles that are your responsibility to maintain and it is difficult to ensure that all services are performed when the vehicle is scheduled for downtime. Because of this, we’ve made several enhancements to Service Reminders so that you can optimize preventative maintenance and ensure high-priority service is completed to minimize downtime.
Stay Organized and Prioritize Service by Vehicle
Service Reminders are vital to ensuring you stay on top of managing your preventative maintenance. They are designed to automatically remind you about urgent service that needs to be completed on your assets. As Fleetio has evolved, we’ve seen how our customers leverage Service Reminders in order to get their service completed in a timely manner.
We’ve enhanced the user experience of Service Reminders by designing an organized, vehicle-centric view to condense the amount of overdue Service Reminders that you see. With this vehicle-centric view, you can better manage these reminders in an efficient manner without being overwhelmed with several Service Reminders. For example, instead of focusing on 50 Service Reminders, you can see the 10 vehicles that have 5 overdue service reminders each that need to be scheduled.
You can also Enter Service for all vehicles overdue for service or add all overdue service to start up a Work Order. Filter by vehicle types, groups, statuses, individual vehicles and more to focus on or prioritize specific areas of your fleet!
Get Notification Updates That Help You Prioritize Service by Vehicle
In addition to ensuring you have visibility into your Service Reminders by vehicle, we are now consolidating e-mail notifications to give you the same visibility into Service Reminders by Vehicle.
Instead of receiving an e-mail notification for each Service Reminder every time they are overdue, you will now receive a single e-mail per vehicle that includes the entire reminder schedule. If at least one reminder is overdue, you’ll see “Overdue” in the subject line. If no reminders are overdue, but at least one is due soon for that specific vehicle, you will see “Due Soon” in the subject line. This allows you to continue to receive notifications in an efficient manner outside of Fleetio.
Postpone Non-Critical Service Reminders
Your Service Reminders, at times, may not be a top priority for you to address. Service Reminders can now be “snoozed” in order to prevent unneeded alerts until another time. This is designed to help prevent alerts and e-mails for non-critical Service Reminders. You can snooze Service Reminders individually or in bulk, and set a day and time to see the reminder again.
Similar to the enhancements mentioned above, we’re focused on making it easier for you to triage your Service Reminders and giving visibility you need into your high priority Service Reminders.
Focus on High-Priority Service with OEM Service Programs
One of the most common problems that our customers have is that they don't really know what preventative maintenance they should be doing. We recently conducted a survey focused on maintenance and we found that “setting up maintenance” and “knowing what services to perform” were primary difficulties our customers had with preventative maintenance.
We’ve enhanced our OEM Service Programs by allowing customers to pick and choose the service they’d like to track. Fleetio will automatically suggest services that should be tracked based on the most common maintenance services that customers schedule. They can then decide whether tracking these service tasks make sense for your fleet. This way, it’s much easier for you to “reduce the noise” and prioritize your service.
We hope you find these recent enhancements useful. We’d love to hear what you think. Get in touch and let us know!
